In just 10 years, the company has helped more than 250 children access lifesaving clinical trials.

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 13, 2025) –
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, is proud to recognize Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company for surpassing an incredible milestone: $2.5 million raised and donated in support of childhood cancer research over the past decade.

Thanks to Universal’s dedication, more than 250 children have been treated on clinical trials—often their best hope for a cure. These trials are critical in developing safer, more effective treatments and improving survival rates for children diagnosed with cancer.

“At Universal Insurance Holdings, we believe that every child deserves a future full of possibilities,” said Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company CEO, Stephen Donaghy. “Reaching this $2.5 million milestone with St. Baldrick’s over the past decade is more than a fundraising achievement. It reflects our unwavering commitment to stand with children and families facing cancer. As part of our Universal Cares initiative, we are proud to match employee donations and make this cause a company-wide priority. Together, we are not just giving back; we are helping to give hope.”
