LOS ANGELES, CA (February 24, 2026) – The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants in the U.S., is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Beil, Senior Vice President and Director of Information Security at Stellar Bank to its Board of Directors.
Beil brings deep expertise in cybersecurity, data privacy, and operational and technology risk. He serves as Senior Vice President and Director of Information Security at Stellar Bank, where he leads enterprise security operations and data privacy efforts. Prior to this role, Beil oversaw and led the information security program as Chief Information Security Officer at Varo Bank and held a supervisory role at the Federal Reserve as a commissioned examiner overseeing banks of all sizes. He holds industry-recognized certifications, including CISSP and CIPP.
Beyond his professional career, Beil is deeply committed to community service and philanthropy. An active member of the Rotary Club of Dallas, he serves on the Board of Directors, co-chairs the Program Committee and the Rotary Youth Leadership Award program and contributes to the Strategic Planning Committee.
Beil first became involved with St. Baldrick’s in 2019 after attending an event in Cleveland, Ohio, where he quickly connected with the Foundation’s mission to fund lifesaving childhood cancer research. A dedicated shavee and advocate, he now organizes the Brews for Baldrick’s head-shaving event in Dallas—a high-energy community fundraiser that brings together local supporters, partners, and volunteers. Since launching in 2023, the Dallas event has raised more than $60,000 for childhood cancer research, with this year’s event set for March 7 at Vector Brewing Co. in Dallas.
Through efforts like Brews for Baldrick’s, Beil helps drive St. Baldrick’s growing impact in North Texas. To date, the Foundation has awarded more than $4.2 million to support childhood cancer research at leading Dallas–Fort Worth institutions. Beil’s work reflects a shared belief that when communities rally together, they can accelerate progress for children and families facing cancer.
“Ryan exemplifies the kind of leader who makes a meaningful impact for children with cancer,” shares Kathleen Ruddy, St. Baldrick’s CEO. “His professional expertise, combined with his hands-on commitment as a volunteer and fundraiser, will help guide the Foundation as we continue to fund the most promising research and expand our impact nationwide.”
Beil’s appointment strengthens St. Baldrick’s Board of Directors with a leader who brings strategic insight, community-driven passion, and a deep personal commitment to the Foundation’s mission to Conquer Kids’ Cancer.
