Philadelphia, PA (March 2, 2026) – The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants in the U.S., is pleased to announce the appointment of Raj Gulati, Senior Vice President at Risk Strategies Company, part of the Brown & Brown team, to its Board of Directors.

Gulati brings 27 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, where he has built a career grounded in client advocacy, collaboration, and innovative risk solutions that support health care organizations nationwide. His expertise spans health, life, disability, worksite, and accident products, and he works closely with insurance carriers, health systems, hospitals, physician groups, and health plans to design and implement comprehensive risk transfer strategies. In his current role, Gulati is responsible for new business development, account management, program design and analysis, placement, and implementation.

Prior to joining Risk Strategies, Gulati began his reinsurance career at Towers Perrin, where he served as Vice President in the firm’s Risk & Financial Services’ Life, Accident and Health Reinsurance Practice. He most recently held the role of Senior Vice President and Principal at EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, leading business development and account executive management for the firm’s national healthcare practice, inclusive of reinsurance.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Gulati has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to philanthropy and community service. He currently serves on the Board of the Risk Strategies Foundation, supporting initiatives that strengthen communities and advance charitable causes. Gulati’s connection to St. Baldrick’s began in 2007, when he first participated in a head-shaving event. Since then, he has become a dedicated lead organizer and shavee, raising more than $221,000 to help fund lifesaving childhood cancer research and expand awareness of the Foundation’s mission.

Through the leadership and dedication of advocates like Gulati, St. Baldrick’s continues to drive meaningful impact at the local level. In Philadelphia alone, the Foundation has awarded more than $13 million to support childhood cancer research at leading institutions—demonstrating how community-led efforts can accelerate discoveries that improve outcomes for children and families both locally and nationwide.

“We are thrilled to welcome Raj to the Foundation’s Board of Directors,” shares Kathleen Ruddy, St. Baldrick’s CEO. “His long-standing dedication to our mission, combined with his leadership and experience, will help us accelerate research and bring hope to children and families facing cancer. Raj’s involvement strengthens our ability to drive meaningful progress toward lifesaving treatments and cures.”

Gulati joins the St. Baldrick’s Board as a leader who combines strategic insight with a personal, long-standing commitment to children with cancer, helping ensure the Foundation continues delivering hope and lifesaving progress for children facing cancer everywhere.
