LOS ANGELES, CA (SEPTEMBER 1, 2026) – The St. Baldrick’s Childhood Cancer Research Foundation, the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants in the U.S., is excited to launch its “When Kids Fight Cancer, We Fight for Kids” campaign in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign invites communities across the country to fight alongside children and families facing childhood cancer and take action to fund the research that can lead to better treatments and cures.
Worldwide, every two minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer. These children endure treatments, uncertainty, and challenges no child should have to face. But they shouldn’t have to fight alone. The “When Kids Fight Cancer, We Fight for Kids” campaign celebrates the community standing beside them, from researchers searching for the next breakthrough, families sharing their stories, to volunteers, donors, advocates and partners working together to advance critical childhood cancer research.
At its core, the campaign is about turning awareness into action. “When Kids Fight Cancer, We Fight for Kids” highlights how individual actions come together to create meaningful progress for children with cancer. This September, the campaign invites individuals across the country to find their own way to help fund the discoveries that can lead to better treatments and cures.
