It’s that time of year, when many companies and their employees focus on charitable donations. It’s a great time to generate more revenue for your favorite charity – like the St. Baldrick’s Foundation! Ask your human resources representative for more information about some of the following popular fundraising options – and you’ll all be helping fund lifesaving childhood cancer research.
Matching Gifts
A growing number of companies offer to match the charitable donations made by their employees, effectively doubling their total contribution. Some employers may take things a step further by matching gifts at a higher ratio, like 2:1, 3:1, even 4:1!
Ask your employer if they match donations, or you can use our matching gifts tool to see what’s available at your organization.
Automatic Payroll Deductions
Setting up an automatic payroll deduction may be the easiest and most efficient way to donate to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. At your direction, your employer will take a set amount of your paycheck and send it to your charity of choice.
Many organizations have a program like this in place, but if yours doesn’t, don’t worry – St. Baldrick’s offers a monthly giving option allowing any donor to participate in automated monthly donations.
Dollars for Doers
Does your company have a “Dollars for Doers” program? Many corporations use “Dollars for Doers programs” – sometimes called a Volunteer Grant, Dollar for Hour grant, or Grants for Time – to encourage volunteering among their employees. The company provides grants to non-profits based on their employees’ time spent volunteering at those organizations. There’s an incentive to get involved now!
Annual Giving Programs
Many employers offer special incentives to employees who donate during the end-of-year holiday season. Your organization may also ask their employees to help them choose a charity to support – and if that’s the case, be sure to suggest supporting childhood cancer research through St. Baldrick’s!
